During the last three years, FMO (Netherlands Development Finance Company) and AVCA (African Venture Capital Association) have successfully organised three highly attended conferences on venture capital issues and private equity financing in Africa.

The first one took place in Tunisia in October 2000, in close collaboration with TFG (Tuninvest Finance Group)

The second one was held in Cape Town, South Africa in November 2001, in collaboration with IDC (Industrial Development Corporation South Africa) and SAEDF (Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund).
